Ways in which Culturama can be improved, is by trying to bring something new and exciting to the program that will want all Nevisians to attend.  At the same time make sure it is still preserving true nevisian culture.

This a Hard One because from what I can see the people of Nevis would like different things for Culturama , but when it comes to paying they complain.  Now I know there is a saying that this Culturama has been going on for years and there should be money in the pot, We need to get past that because if there was money in the pot its now gone. Some things you just have to let go.

But he committee should have been getting sponsors since last year look at St kitts  carnival troupes were large like the  Big Countries carnivals.

I have much more to say and many ideas but I dont think the committee would be interested it seems to be only the older folk up there making the choices

They need a change

Oh well I have plenty to say on that!!  Culturama has been going for THREE DECADES and some and the game remines the same.  Within that time inmrovements should have been made to accomidate the young and the older generation in Nevis and those who visit from over seas.

I drove pass the Complex just yesturday and shoke my head thinking, "Another year of running from the rain and then having to work in thick mud.  Still no where good to sit after the rains for the concreat seating in now all wet."

Its high time that the commitee re-vamp the Complex and Villiage, will the amount of money they make per show.  It's time now to GIVE BACK to the public of Nevis.  That's the first and for most thing that was on my mind.

Culturama is an all year plan, year in and year out, it come as if the committee just put things together at the last minute.  Younger heads need to be in on the committee.  I myself hope to be a member next year to give more of a possitive input not just for the younger generation but to help keep the Nevis culture in tune.

In reading some of the other comments that are made its not just about the jamming but about how the competitions are done, sponsership, prizes, local and over seas entertanners and not for getting the general public.

The troops is another issue, very poor quality in the costumes, the money that is spent to make those shorley some of the materals can be re-used some how and each year we will see bigger and better themes.

Come on people of Nevis now is not the time to just bang you mouth, its time to make a stand for something you love each and every year spending that hard earn money.

I have much more to day but I'm going to save it for when I get onto the committee.

For the most part well said Sweet Sensation. But I will let you in on a secret that you might not believe...Culturama doesn't make a lot of money. The expense that is incurred for holding it sometimes way out pace the returns that is gotten.

But you do have some good points and I am sure you would be more than welcome into the committee next year.

Bull!! To what you just said, I have been here 8 years in Nevis and you cannot be serious about that statement you just made.  If that was the case how come it takes place each and every year for the past 32 years.

You have the young and the old, who attends the show at a price inthe Complex and the Villa.  Come on now?  The people of Nevis is not that simple minded the believe that Culturama is not a money making thing.

The publis is not even given a total run down in how the meny THEY put into culturama is spent.  Only thing that we see in the News Paper is the sponsorship money put in WELL DONE SPONSORS.

Well did you see the paper (Leewood Times) this weekend, relatting to the poor condition of the complex.  Its good to see that some one has and eye and spotted this.  But the comments was not to encouraging to make the commettie sit up and take notice as they sould I think.

So on the hole there are 9 kitchenets which are for a ECD$1000 each for the season the ticket fees per show.  Come on still no money making????  There is room for exspantion and enprovement.

I think the last time i was home for culture was in 2000. I dont think i ever wanted to come back for another Culutre since then. other than the street jamming it was boring, the queen show was good until the judges descisions totally opposite of what most everyone expected, i guess i was tired of the same things being repeated nothing new nothing unexpected nothing fun.

People need to stop bringing down their own and praising up other people...of course Cukturama isn't as good as it used to be because we don't make it good for ourselves.
We can't expect to compare Culturama to a Carnival! Culturama is about culture, carnival is about mas!
Oh spare me with this Culturama is boring crap!  Do u remember that song 'Culture is me, Culture is you'?!  Its up ti us to enjoy Culturama.
Stop Critisizing and try and help. Stop saying there aren't enough troupes and form a troupe. Stop saying the Judges aren't fair and volunteer to be a judge or join a committee. Stop chattering about who's taking part in the Queen Show is a Kittitian and ENCOURAGE the Nevisian girls.
We are the one's that make our Culturama boring.  We need to step up and be a part and then we can improve Culturama!

Everyone seems to be forgetting the Mr. and Ms. Talented Teen Youth Show which was of a very high standard the best that I have ever witnessed in the history of Talented Teen.  One thing though I must say and the entire Nevisian public and the public at large knows that the competition was not fairly judged.  The crown belonged to the children of the IVOR WALTERS PRIMARY SCHOOL it was a heavy licking performance done by those two children.  Nuff respect to both of these children.  I am sure you made your sponsors OD Brisbane proud, your parents, teachers, fellow classmates, chaperone(s) and the entire public proud.  BIG UP!

I think you need to get judges from overseas to judge these competitions, cause there are lots of biasness going on in this little country of ours.

remember the words of the singer RICHIE SPICE "THE WORLD IS A CYCLE!"

ANOTHER THING I WILL LIKE TO SAY IS THAT THE JUDGES CHOSEN TO JUDGE THESE COMPETITIONS TENDS TO BASE THESE COMPETITIONS NOT ON THE PERFORMANCES OF THE INDIVIDUALS BUT ON THE PERSONALITY OF THE INDIVIDUALS THEMSELVES, AND IF THIS IS THE CASE WHY HAVE THEM ENTER IN THE FIRST PLACE?
