YOUTH PARTICIPATION AT A GLANCE

The participation of the youth in the Culturama Festival is mainly in three different activties namely: the Mr & Ms Talented Youth Pageant, the Youth Kaiso Competition and the Parade of Troupes.

    Mr & Ms Talented Youth Pageant :

This contest  is comprised of a male and female representative from each of the five parishes in Nevis. There are three appearances, which are the Ice Breaker, Talent and Casual Wear. Contestants are judged with an emphasis on talent .
Youth Kaiso Competition: The Youth Kaiso competiton is keenly contested by about 6 to 9  young calypsonians who are normally between the ages of 9 to 18.
 

Parade of Troupes:
There is a high level of participation by all schools in the parade of troupes and bands.
